Mark Newman's experience as a print and broadcast journalist spans more than twenty years. A graduate of the Niagara College of Applied Arts & Technology's Broadcast - Radio and Television program, Mark Newman brings more than a quarter century of voice-narration and writing experience to your business or organization. Mark worked at CHOW in Welland, Ontario as a novice broadcaster and was part of AM900 CHML's stable of news and on-air talent for more than eleven years in Hamilton, Ontario. His passion for history gives Mark a special interest in politics—local, national and global.
Migrating to the print medium, Mark has been employed as a newspaper journalist since 1996, while continuing to serve the broadcast community through voice services such as sporting events play-by-play, election coverage and political debate moderation as well as emcee hosting at public events.
Mark's expertise includes writing media releases; writing and voicing commercial ads for radio, television and the Web; narration for PowerPoint and slide presentations; DVD voice-overs; video documentaries; corporate videos; training materials; audio books and real estate walk-throughs. Mark also provides public address announcing and voicing for telephone systems as well as character voices for your product or service.
A consummate professional, Mark is a one-take-wonder behind the microphone, handling a 30-second radio spot or live announcing in front of 30,000 souls with equal aplomb—very often with a touch of wry humour.
Having covered the local, provincial and national political scenes for many years and as a part-time student of McMaster University's history program, Mark has a special interest in writing about political and historic subjects.
